Let's Talk
Brain Building Moments
Look for something you see that could start a story. It could be a picture or an object. Begin with “Once upon a time, there was a … .” Encourage your child to continue the story. Take turns adding to it. It doesn’t matter if the story makes sense, as long as you’re having fun!
BRAINY BACKGROUND
Having fun with stories is a great way for your child to learn and use many different words. When you make up the story together, your child is practicing working together creatively. They’re also using their memory to remember what has already happened in the story

Faith Building Moments
God hears our prayers. Emphasize that prayer is just talking to God anytime, about anything. Make it a daily habit. Pray along with your child, taking turns adding to the prayer. If you need help, do the High-Five Prayer. For each finger, do a prayer. It can be thanking God for a person or something that happened that day. Or you can pray that God takes care of the people in your child’s life. "Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"
Mark 11:24
