Small Wonders Grow Here!

Quality Childcare

Nationally Accredited

Our curriculum is based on the Missouri State Standards ensuring all children are ready for Kindergarten.

Wonder and awe of God, along with love and compassion for others, will be taught in all we do throughout the day.  All denominations are welcomed.

Skilled and qualified teachers

Our teachers are committed to providing quality early childhood education that is developmentally appropriate.

Community of Learners

Our community of learners includes all who are part of the child’s life. We work as partners with parents, sharing in our mutual interest of the child.  As continuous learners, our teachers receive yearly on-going training related to all areas of development.

Safe and Nurturing

Safety is our top priority. Contact us about the procedures we have in place to keep your child safe. In addition to physical safety, we believe each child and each family are a gift from God and will be treated with love and respect.

Proud Tradition in the Community

St. Mark’s Small Wonder Preschool was started as an in-home preschool in 1970.  After a couple years of growth, it rented space from St. Mark’s.  It moved once again back to the personal residence, but by the late 70’s found its current home at St. Mark’s. For most of its history, it was under the direction of Mrs. Liz Kempker.  She retired in 2007 and Mrs. Connie Mann and Ms. Charlotte Davis became Co-Directors.
